Higher Thoughts!

““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

God is higher than I am, He has a clear view of the future that I don’t have. I must trust Him to work everything out for my good according to His word. He has my life figured out. He will lead, I must follow.

Isaiah 55:8-9

God’s thoughts are grand and include a whole lot more than we can fathom this side of life!

I am small-minded compared to God! I think I know, I think I see, but it’s still way off the amazing things God has planned for me!

In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord declares that the thoughts He has for me are for a future and a hope! No matter the schemes of the enemy, no matter the detours life may throw our way, they can’t interfere with God’s plans for our lives! He is in full control and will use every situation including adversity, to bring us even closer to His ultimate plan for our lives!

Hallelujah! Reflecting on this verse, we realize that if His thoughts are above ours, then His thoughts are also way above any evil devises against our lives and His ways even more so! When men plot evil and think they have you caught in their snare, God can use that snare to catapult you into a new season of favour! Look at Joseph, when he was sold out and betrayed by his brothers they thought they had finished him. Little did they know that they had released him into his destiny!

Child of God, we will never have all the answers to our whys but one thing I know is God is always in control and His plan and His purpose for our lives will prosper as long as we submit to Him and pursue a life of holiness onto Him.

Remember that the person, situation or encounter that may release you into your destiny may not come dressed or wrapped as you would expect!

It may come like a towering, cursing Goliath ready to devour you, but don’t let that stop you, because greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world!

“Lord, we thank you that Your thoughts of us are thoughts of peace, thoughts that are way above our frail human minds! Thank you that as we trust you, you will weave everything out for our good and reveal your perfect plans for our lives!”
