The Ant Life

The picture shows the folks I met on my walk on Saturday morning!😊 Diligent and smart! Moving to and fro across the road, they were swiftly going about their business.

Didn’t they know a car could drive over them or people could just step onto them? Well yes! But they “make hay while the sun shines”. Yes they can get run over, yes they can be trampled upon but that will not stop them and if it does happen, they will regroup and get going! No excuses!

Lord give me the wisdom of the ants! Wisdom that will make me;

  • Captain of my own destiny – leading myself as I am led by the Spirit of God and taking tough decisions when I have to 👩‍✈️
  • Diligent with all my assignments! Not wasting time or being slothful!⏰
  • Sensitive to the seasons of life – recognizing both sowing and reaping times and taking appropriate actions🌾🌾
  • Resilient enough to bounce back and pursue my goals after any ‘trampling’ experience! 💪🏾
  • Thankful for who you made me and expressing that gratitude through purposeful living!🙏🏽
  • And oh yes! Prosperous in all my ways -body, soul and spirit – as I live the ‘ant life’!🤑

“Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep— So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6:6-11‬
